Athlete Development Program
The Athlete Development Program at BSE is a complete sports education and training program aimed to assist students in the pursuit of sporting and academic excellence. The Athlete Development Program runs for the entire school year. Students are eligible for selection every year they attend Bendigo South East College.
The strength of our sports specialism lies in its holistic approach to each student’s academic, athletic and personal development. A team of passionate, highly committed professionals, working together in an integrated manner, deliver the core elements of our specialist sport program. It is exciting to see the collaborative efforts of teachers, parents, coaches, mentors, fitness professionals, performance analysts, physiotherapists, sports psychologist, and dieticians all contributing to assist young people achieve their goals in school sport and life. The development of an ‘athlete friendly’ culture at the College is an exciting initiative that will help to deliver a flexible curriculum to assist the achievement of student goals through individual learning plans.
Applications Open for 2020
The Bendigo Education Plan (BEP) outlines a commitment to providing and developing specialist programs across the government secondary colleges in Bendigo.
For 2020, there is in-principle commitment to expand the ADP program to include an additional in-school component at BSEC, not currently offered in the pilot. A decision on whether the new additional component will be added to the program will be made through consultation between participating schools.
Other Specialisations are being considered across Bendigo government secondary colleges and further work for trialling and implementation will continue in 2020 and beyond.

- Full ADP- $1,000.00 (TBC)
- Associate Program (BSE students only)- $350 (TBC)
