Victorian School Cycling Championship

BSE Cyclists Compete in Victorian Schools Cycling Championships.

On the 31st July, despite cold, horrible winds, thirteen cyclists across four divisions raced in the Victorian Schools Cycling Championships at the Live Stock Exchange in Epsom.

All riders represented BSE with enthusiasm.  In the junior 15 female, Sarah McLennan finished a fine 2nd.  In the junior 15 male, seven students contested the race with Ash Egan finishing in 2nd and Connor White taking 3rd in a photo finish. In the junior 17 female novice, Shelby Gahan contested her first race and won.  In the junior 17 male, BSE had four riders contesting the race with Isaac Buckell finishing 2nd and Nic Simpson 3rd.

The place getters of each race will now compete in the State Finals in October.

Well done to all riders on showing true grit in difficult conditions.  A great days experience and learning, all looking forward to the finals with great enthusisam.
