SCIENTIFIC SUCCESS

BSE HEADS TO STATE FINALS

After having the opportunity to put together two teams, 63 students took part in the Bendigo Region Science and Engineering Challenge. The students had an enjoyable day and took part in completing different challenges that included building a Mars Rover, a Hovercraft and a Bridge.

It was also a very successful day for the Bendigo South East College Teams, placing first and second overall. The next challenge for the winning team is the Science and Engineering Victoria Super Challenge, which takes place later in the year.

The Science and Engineering Challenge put on a range of activities for more than 250 students from all over Bendigo yesterday. Towers, bridges and vehicles were all related in response to challenges put forward.

Our College’s Year 10 team came first, and our Year 9 team second. Both teams will head to the state final in Warnambool. Well done all!
