BSE Star Night

BSE Star Night

On Tuesday, 8th September, the Bendigo Astronomy group ran a star night at BSE.

They bought in several big telescopes so that we could get a better look at the night sky. Even though it was cloudy, we were still able to see some great sights, such as the twin star Alpha Centauri and Mercury in phase.

The highlight of the night was being able to view the rings of Saturn! Some of us were also able to see Titan, Saturn’s largest moon and the only one in our solar system known to have an atmosphere, orbiting around Saturn.

It was an awesome sight!
